Song debut from Mars

To show off some of the capabilities NASA and the curiosity Rover have, musician Will.i.am decided (with the help of the Associate Administrator of NASA’s Office of Education…oh yeah, and a bunch of NASA engineers of all types) to debut his newest song “Reach for the Stars” with a broadcast from Curiosity to earth.

The next video is a clip from today’s debut, where it was first heard by a group of students who were invited to JPL (mission control for Curiosity) to hear the broadcast, along with a presentation by Leland Marvin (the AA for NASA Education) and Will.i.am in person:
